The Grassroots Leadership Academy is a project of Americans for Prosperity Foundation, an organization within the Stand Together Philanthropic Community. Stand Together helps America’s boldest changemakers tackle the root causes of our country’s biggest problems, from education and the economy to toxic division, among many other pressing issues.
At Americans for Prosperity Foundation, we believe strongly in the ideals set forth by America’s Founding Fathers in the Declaration of Independence: “That all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.—That to secure rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers form the consent of the governed”.
Our proposed solutions must always be beneficial for all of society, limit coercion in all its forms, and have a bias towards liberty. Because government tends to go to those who show up, it is critically important that citizens work together to reignite the American Dream for everyone.
At the Grassroots Leadership Academy, we aim to be a catalyst for transformation by empowering individuals to affect change through grassroots action and building a nationwide community of vision-aligned grassroots leaders who can affect positive change in their community, state, and nation.
We will empower you to be the most effective leader and advocate for positive change, through our free trainings and multi-level grassroots leadership certification courses.

The 5 Principles of Human Progress are the paradigm that guides our actions at Americans for Prosperity Foundation.
The Principles of Human Progress are the paradigms that history has proven bring about the most human flourishing. We believe that progress occurs when key institutions that make up our society—education, communities, business, and government—are characterized by the Principles of Human Progress. Progress in society requires a comprehensive approach in addressing problems within each of the key institutions. At Americans for Prosperity Foundation, we focus on the proper role of government.
Our Declaration
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed…”
These words, from our Declaration of Independence, serve as the mission statement for our republic. Even as we move toward the 250th anniversary of the Declaration, the US continues to move toward living into the idea that EVERY human being is born with these rights, is deserving of dignity and respect, and is capable of extraordinary things if they choose to do so.
We affirm the declaration that every human is created equal with these unalienable rights. Because of this, we train individuals to organize and remove government-imposed barriers that keep people from being the best they can be.
