Rachel Burgin

Strategic Director

Rachel served as State Representative for District 56 in the Florida House of Representatives from 2008 to 2012. At that time, she was one of the youngest women ever elected to the Florida Legislature. Prior to being elected, Rachel served her community on the local and state levels with the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners and the Florida House of Representatives. She also served at the White House Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives under President George W. Bush.

Rachel has been a member of the GLA team since it was founded, and she is passionate about grassroots movements and advancing freedom in her role as a strategic director. Her greatest motivation is inspiring citizen advocates to take actions that create a lasting impact. From her years of experience, Rachel believes that one person’s actions can make a difference, and she works every day to inspire others to take actions that create change.
