Cheryl Couture brings over 23 years of educational and grassroots organizing experience to the GLA team. In her native state of Florida, Cheryl served as a Constitutional and organizational leader in the homeschool community. Cheryl has also served as a trainer for American Majority, founding a group in Southwest Florida that grew to over 800 members. She is a graduate of the Tillie Fowler Excellence in Public Service for Women. Upon joining the Stand Together community in 2012, Cheryl was a national leader in grassroots engagement. Her experience includes Field Director, Outreach Director, Curriculum Specialist and Trainer for Youth and Adults, and developing partnerships to empower individuals and coalitions to understand and apply free society principles.
Cheryl’s passion to equip citizens and leaders led her to join GLA. Her natural affinity to help others discover and pursue big potential inspired her to continue her pursuit of lifelong learning. She is currently attending Charis Bible College’s hybrid program part-time. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren Christian and Willow, outdoor concerts, jet skiing, and serving in her local church.
